BECOME A MEMBER

REQUIREMENTS FOR BUILDER MEMBERSHIP:

If corporation, please provide list of shareholders, directors, officers

• Must have completed at least two projects, either new construction or remodels ($40,000+) within past 24 months

• Two home owner letters of reference

• One bank letter of reference

• Contact information for two sub-contractor references

• Electronic acceptance of terms in lieu of signature

An applicant for builder membership shall be an individual or a company whose owner, or at least one principal thereof, is actively and personally participating in the development of land or the construction of single family residences, multi-family housing or commercial structures, or engaged as general or primary contractor in the rebuilding or rehabilitation of residential housing or commercial structures.

Applicant has been building, remodeling or developing for a period of one year; the one-year period commencing from the date of their first Contract, excluding his personal residence. The proof of this requirement shall be the responsibility of the applicant. OR; Applicant is presently a Builder Member in good standing in another NAHB affiliated HBA from which he has moved AND must be approved by Board of Directors.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP:

Membership shall be open to any person, firm, or corporation engaged in any allied trade, industry or profession within the territorial jurisdiction of this association who shall meet with the approval of the Membership Committee and the Board of Directors.

Any person actively engaged as a building contractor in the jurisdiction of the Tyler Area Builders Association who does not meet the requirements as a builder member of this association shall not qualify as an associate member.

I authorize TABA, its agents, directors, attorneys or employees to make such investigation into my financial standing including but not limited to discussing with financial institutions or other requiring financial statements, etc.
